Dear praying Friends,
May we first wish you a very happy Christmas season, and a year filled with God’s richest blessings!
We’ve been a while since sending out our last letter! Mainly, because we haven’t been able to give you much fresh news. However we are pleased to put you up to date now.
Our story begins with a move from Chibougamau to Longueuil, from where we hoped to leave for Honduras in the end of October. As our departure date was delayed, we have now moved to Saint Nicéphore, near Drummondville - our 27th move in our 38 years together! Lise’s cousin offered to rent us a house at a low price, with no lease, meaning we are free to leave at any time without warning and without having to give any compensation. This was just what we needed as we don’t know exactly when we will be leaving for Honduras. - And when we do know, we will want to leave as quickly as possible.
So, when are we leaving? People ask us! The answer: When the minimum amount of monthly support required has been committed.
And what percentage of your support do you now have committed? Actually, we are not thinking so much in percentages. However, by the end of October we were lacking about $1000 of monthly support. The lack is now about $500.00. So we are very encouraged to believe we will be able to leave early in the New Year.
We are very grateful to all of you who have been faithfully supporting us, and to those who have recently informed us of increased support, as well as some new supporters! So much encouragement from all of you! Thank you!
Last week I (John) had the privilege of attending a two-day seminar on coaching (in English!) provided by SEMBEQ. It provided me with some excellent ideas and material that could be easily adapted to our situation in Central America.
May God bless each one of you!
Yours in His service
John and Lise Francis
PS: Please note that the above address is (hopefully) temporary - in fact, very short-term. If you plan to send a letter by snail-mail, please do not send it past the 3rd week of January unless otherwise informed J .
